The 22-plus acre North Houston Bike Park includes a 700-foot long bike bridge that zig-zags over 25,000 SF of concrete bowls, a 2,500 SF welcome center that hosts a classroom and concession area at ground level while its roofs double as the starting ramps for the full BMX race course. There is also a performance pavilion and great lawn to host community concerts and events as well as an urban riding plaza, tot track, small and large pump-tracks, and break-out areas for special skills practice. Union Cyclist International (UCI) recently announced that the North Houston Bike Park will host the 2020 UCI BMX World Championships. The project is scheduled for January 2018 completion.
