One of the chief strengths of modular design is its inherent scalar flexibility. However, this is often subverted by the static nature of final construction. This proposal for a Graduate Commencement Pavilion at IIT takes full advantage of its modular kit-of-parts strategy to expand its usefulness beyond a single, large-scale, annual event. Different arrangements and quantities of the flexible stainless steel and rip stop nylon assemblies result in a lightweight, collapsible, and modular proposal.
